Introducing youth-climactors.eu – Placing Youth Engagement at the heart of Environmental Action (Youth ClimActors)
We are excited to announce the official launch of Youth ClimActors, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering young people across Europe to take leading roles in climate action and climate justice. Supported by the European Union and a broad network of youth organizations, NGOs, and public authorities, this project is designed to provide young people aged 18-30 with the tools, opportunities, and platforms to shape the future of climate governance.
The Youth ClimActors project is driven by the belief that young people are key agents of change in addressing the climate crisis. Through a series of Youth Participation Events and Youth Mobility Programs, the project will bring together youth from diverse backgrounds, including those facing social and economic exclusion, to engage in policy dialogue, collaborative workshops, and action-oriented initiatives. These activities will be hosted in countries such as Greece, Lithuania, Croatia, and Sweden, with the goal of fostering youth participation in local, national, and European decision-making processes related to climate justice.
To support the project’s activities, we are proud to introduce the Youth ClimActors website, a digital platform designed to serve as the central hub for all project-related resources and information. The website will feature:
- Information on upcoming workshops, climate camps, and mobility programs.
- Educational tools, guides, and reports on climate justice and youth advocacy.
- A space for participants to share ideas, collaborate, and connect with other young climate activists across Europe.
Through the Youth ClimActors website, visitors can register for events, access learning materials, and stay updated on the progress of the project. The website will also provide opportunities for youth organizations and NGOs to get involved and contribute to ongoing policy dialogues and collaborative climate action initiatives.
We invite all young climate leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to engage with Youth ClimActors. Together, we can amplify youth voices, influence climate policies, and take action to build a more just and sustainable future.

Youth Climate Camp: Empowering European Youth for Climate Justice in Thessaloniki
The Youth Participation Mobility event in Thessaloniki, Greece, is a cornerstone of the Youth ClimActors Project, designed to empower young climate leaders from across Europe. This unique event will take the form of a Youth Climate Camp, bringing together 56 participants (14 from each of the four partner countries) to engage in hands-on activities, policy discussions, and collaborative climate action initiatives.
The camp will serve as both an educational and action-oriented experience. Participants will attend workshops, panel discussions, and a Policy Hackathon, where they will collaborate directly with policymakers to create innovative solutions for climate justice. A key focus will be on bridging the gap between youth and decision-makers, ensuring young voices are heard and considered in shaping climate policies at both local and European levels.
Throughout the camp, participants will also plan and organize climate advocacy actions, such as protests and campaigns, with a particular focus on grassroots democratic decision-making. The camp will embody a collective, utopian approach, where participants will co-create the daily routines and decision-making processes of the camp itself, promoting a sense of shared responsibility and inclusion.
Moreover, participants will gain practical skills in organizing, protesting, and advocating for climate justice, which will be supported by numerous workshops and lectures on environmental topics. The event will encourage ongoing engagement, empowering young people to become climate ambassadors in their communities, continuing their involvement in the fight for climate justice long after the camp ends.
The Youth Participation Mobility event in Thessaloniki will play a crucial role in building the next generation of European climate leaders, fostering a spirit of collaboration, activism, and policy innovation among youth from diverse backgrounds.
