Events
Focusing on Climate Justice, a topic gaining traction among youth, the project seeks to enhance civic and democratic engagement at the EU level using a pilot-tested methodology adapted to contemporary digital needs. The project will include five activities:
- Youth Participation Event in Greece: Establishing Youth Local Climate Councils with 80 participants to promote dialogue and influence EU political and social leadership. Key topics include enhancing youth involvement in climate justice, unifying EU policies, and improving communication among youth networks.
- Pilot Workshop in Lithuania: Focusing on digital competencies for youth engagement in climate justice, with 45 participants. This workshop aims to boost online engagement and gather input on increasing youth participation in European initiatives.
- Youth Laboratory Workshop in Croatia: Enhancing youth skills in green public policy-making with 45 participants. This event aims to strengthen cooperation among youth NGOs, policymakers, and institutional stakeholders to build a stronger European green identity.
- Round Table in Sweden: Discussing new and traditional mechanisms for youth participation in climate justice, with 45 participants. The goal is to explore innovative approaches and support youth agency in climate governance.
- Youth Climate Camp in Thessaloniki, Greece: Featuring a camp and policy hackathon with 56 participants from four European countries. This event will include workshops, discussions, and practical activities focused on climate justice, allowing participants to engage with decision-makers and practice grassroots democracy.
